UK Tier 4 Student Visa Consultation Closed

The National Consultation on Tier 4 has closed on the 31 January 2011. The results of the consultation will be used by the UKBA to strengthen the Tier 4 Student Visa System. Any International/foreign Student looking to study in the United Kingdom needs to apply under the Tier 4 of the points based system.

The consultation lasted 8 weeks and they have reported to received about 30,000 responses and public views on some methods and suggestions to help reduce the numbers of foreign students coming to the UK.

Some of the suggestions are:

-cutting down the number of Students studying in the UK below Degree level
-harder or increased English Language Level requirements for Students
-confirmed educational progression with Current UK Students looking to extend their studies inside the UK
-looking at stopping or placing limits on the Students in the UK rights to work and ability to bring dependents
